Is it that bad I’ve had prison pals?

I’m from the UK they’re all from the US; and from the same prison/unit:

i have about 8 over the course of two years and written them during lockdown… honestly I introduced myself to a few send a pic or two so they’d show their friends but I only ever had one - two pen pals at a time then maybe I’d decide they aren’t for me and try another or I’d search their crime and become discouraged, or something.

but because they’d show each other my pic or message they began to all know of me. the longest one I had was since June 2020 till about two weeks ago. I’m trying to put that chapter behind me. As everyone judges me for it.. I was looking for friendship that’s it

And that's the best you can do for friends? I'm sure they will hit you up for money if they haven't already.

Honestly only one of them was a money pest he would ask relentlessly but he was the one of them that kept judging me for writing other prisoners

I don't know why girls like bad boys, then turn around and say they don't but at the same time have prison friends, you aren't the first girl I've know to be pencils with prisoners, it makes no sense to me.

Well I would never put my life on hold for one and I’m sure most wouldn’t. But I stopped doing it cause some of them weren’t good people in the end
