Boyfriend got cold in communicating. Would you consider the messages cold?

I'm the one in green. Typically after work, he'd send cute messages or voice notes. Yesterday, I saw that he posted videos on his social media and texted me hours later in the night. All he texted was "tell me about your day." He wasn't his affectionate self. No cute pet names and no saying he misses me. He had time to post on his socials but no time to send a quick text. When he did text, it was hours after posting. My family prepared a big dinner for him last night and he didn't once say thank you to us. He joked about it being like an interrogation. My mom had asked him if he plans to marry me. I realize he may have felt rushed since we only dated for a few months. He told my mom he wanted to surprise me on when he would propose. He said he doesn't want to draw out the engagement and makes me wait long. Why is he suddenly cold with his communication? Would you consider his behavior cold? I am the one in green.

That looks like a perfectly normal conversation to me.

I would be thrown off a little bit, too, if I'd only been seeing someone for a few months and their family started asking me about marriage potential and proposing.

Why is he taking hours to respond should be the question? Your texts become short as you’ve become frustrated waiting for a response. Nothing is wrong what either of you said.

Yeah, I wouldn't have thought it was bad if he wasn't active on his socials. I saw he posted several videos on his IG story (something he's never done since we started dating). There are a lot of single women who follow him on IG. He decided to text me hours after he posted. When he did text, it was an indifferent "tell me about your day." Not his usual "baby I miss you" text

Might have just been going for something different or mind was occupied. That is the problem with text messages. He can be genuine and say "how was your day?" and it can be interpreted completely different by you. I wouldn't worry about it. 😊

Sis that's not cold. Cold is when he respond to your good morning test at 6pm and says 'thanks' at 10pm when you wish him a happy birthday. I deleted the guy, he's gone in case you're wondering.
