Is he interested in me?

So this guy I recently started working with was super quiet, and I always caught him staring at me and he came off a bit unapproachable. I got him to talk about why he's so quiet one time and he flat out said he doesn't want to get close to anyone at work. I respected that and promised I wouldn't bother him much unless I had to ( he drives the forklift). Shortly after he started talking to me more, and even started joking around with me. If Im talking to another male coworker ( not work related stuff, joking and chatting with them) he seems to get weird and won't talk to me. He does seem to like when we work close together ( we use different machines). Sometimes the conversations get a little silent and awkward, but he tells me random stuff about him now. My other two coworkers have noticed how social he's become the past couple of weeks. Is it because he likes me? I just dont get why his behavior has changed so dramatically. I never told anyone what he said to me that first time.

He could of starting liking you, but it's best to keep any conversations to yourself and if it feels weird good to avoid the situations. If he doesn't like you talking or flirting with other co-workers he better step it up before someone else asks you out lol

I do, because if he's only talking to me about this stuff, it's my business only. He's def the shy type, so in terms of stepping it up, I'd probably have to give him reassurance id be interested in him over them.

Well we can say for sure that he feels comfortable being "with" you when you are talking, joking, etc. Most likely that he even likes you, so go easy with him. :D

I try, i can tell he's also super shy and he's randomly told me he's not confrontational. So i do baby steps, if he's chatty, ill chat. If he's quiet, i just smile and say hi
