Why would a guy go up to a girl he doesn’t know and tell her she’s gorgeous?

He’s shooting his shot. Girls and women might get annoyed by guys or men approaching them. I understand girls fear any sexual assault or potential for rape. But there are guys/men who genuinely want to pursue a girl or a woman to try and find someone.

Any man or guy who has his shit together and wants to commit without acting crazy/obsessive should find real love one day. To do that, yes, we have to look. Accept rejection but he keep looking. To the poster, I could ask you out and you could flat out say,
no, not interested. But maybe the next girl I see or approach says, “lol omg you’re soo funny! You seem sweet! Here’s my IG or phone #”

With all due respect I could care less what girls/women think about guys approaching them. I want to get married one day and be a loving father and husband, take my wife out for a nice dinner, go to Disney world with her, play basketball on the driveway with the kids. I don’t want to be a single guy in my 40s, with his pet cat and baking beans on a hot plate in someone’s basement.
