He didn’t recognize me?

There was this guy I liked in freshman year. When he found out I liked him, he was smiling at me. And so were his friends. But other than that, he never made a move on me nor did he talk to me. Anyway, it’s been years so i moved on. Whenever I seen him in the hallways though, he wouldn’t even glance at me. But last week during lunch, I saw him standing in the middle of the lunch room with his friends and this teacher. The teacher was having small talk with them. The second I took off my mask, I saw him glancing at me multiple times and trying not to smile. I was thinking maybe he just recognized me? But I still see him in the hallway now and he doesn’t even glance. Maybe he doesn’t see me or he still doesn’t recognize me with a mask on? Not sure what the situation is

If he isn't making an attempt to approach you, then your feelings aren't mutual. People (especially Guys) like being into'd. You are throwing out signals, he knows it and is eating it up. He is the center of your attention, but you have to be careful. I have been the vice-versa in these situations in the past, and I can say from personal experience that they are known to blow up in your own face. They don't feel the same, and instead of expressing this, they use deception to use it against you as a game and you end up with egg on your face in the end.

So the best you can do is make it known, get their reaction then back off and keep moving on with life. If they feel they want to "indulge", he will approach you and say something. If not... well at least you didn't set yourself up for an embarrassing situation.
