Why are many guys so unfeeling and greedy jerks?

We are two girls in a group.

I'm the one who doesn't wear any makeup or sexy clothes but still look attractive.

One guy was leading me on by giving me special attention, doting on me and flirting with me.
I gave him back my love too and always made him laugh.

The other day, I dressed decently but this girl (who is ugly without makeup) applied dozens of things in her face, hair, ears and wore revealing outfits.
This guy who was being a 'gentleman to me' suddenly started paying more attention to her and literally gave her all the special treatment.

FUNNY part is, when the day ended, her makeup and accessories wore off and her hairs got back in the natural form.
I was again looking ten times better and natural.
Then again that guy shifted his attention back to me and shared special attention with me.
I AM NOT BEING BITCHY, this is a pattern I've observed since many days.

• I'm really hurt because I loved this guy with all my heart even though he's NOT the most good looking in our group.
• I could have switched him with a hottest and handsome guy in our group TOO, but I didn't despite getting green signals from the handsome guy.
• I could have also ignored the guy I loved whenever he had bad hair days and looked like a pig.
• But no, I still didn't go suck up to the handsome one because the one I loved didn't looked 'good enough' the other day.
• I'm not a shallow and disloyal bitch.

Why are we so loyal to a fault yet the guys loose their minds as soon as they see something better temporarily?

Whats your definition of "paying more attention to the other girl"?

It would be pretty rude of him to put her on complete ignore, and its physically impossible to have 2 conversations at once, granted you put out a lot of detail, but its kinda hard to get a bead on what your getting at.

I've noticed in my times and experience, and please dont take this the wrong way. That sometimes women tend to overthink situations and completely misread scenarios/intentions.

As an example one time a woman asked me what time it was on a bus, and I told her and my ex threw a shit fit after getting off, thinking i was flirting with her.

Like holy shit she's a random stranger that asked me the time.

Again I wasn't a fly on the wall for the conversations your speaking of, so I could be completely wrong, But i wouldn't go about losing a relationship over something that could be completely harmless, id say just let time do its own thing you'll get your answer eventually. Just play the long game.
