Why did he ask why I aksed?

my boyfriend & i took a breather for almost 3 weeks, weve been together for about 8 months.
We recently have slowly started talking again little by little & i asked him if he missed me during our break.. he replied saying of course he did & asked me why i even asked him that. I told him i wanted to know, because i missed him a lot too.. & he repliedsaying me too me too...

I was suprised that he asked why I woukd he ask him that... when he's asked me the same before.

Breaks aren’t needed in normal healthy relationships and If you’ve only been together for 8 months and already did the break thing you may as well end it now already because this will never last. Stop wasting each others time.

well to expalin.. i said boyfriend so that i woukdnt have to go into a whole rant... but we are not technically a couple. We just h. u., & hang out sometimes but also talk/text nearly everday & i guess we dont talk to other people... but we're not WITH each other... that type of thing. & were not IT mostly because of me... & we took that break because of me... & weve talked about all the reasons & we are working on it... & ik im acting nuts ig but i just am an overthinker i gues...
