Why do some guys try to keep good woman around if they don’t want a relationship with them?

To see how much benefit they can derive from her without having to make any real sacrifice or commitment.

Also, as an ego boost or she inspires him to be better. He may really want her and wants to keep her on the hook in case he is ready to step up to the plate.

Or he sees her good qualities but she isn't really the one that does it for him but if he never finds the one, he's keeping her warm for when he settles for her because she is good enough.

Seems like now a days it's hard to find a morally good person sometimes so when the guy does find someone that is good, meaning she doesn't want drama, she's caring she's honest she's understanding, and she's supportive.. who wouldn't want to keep someone like that around even if it's just as friends, when its hard to find anyone else like that?
