Why am I getting these mixed feeling from him?

I’m seen this guy for the second time from being in a school club together.

first time when he was talking in a group he would look at everyone but sometimes I would catch these long stares at me.

second time today I would feel that he was looking at me from the corner of my eye and everytime I look at him he seems caught off guard and turns away. and now when he talks in groups he won’t look at me.

I’m not sure what’s going on?

What do you think of him? Is he someone you would like to date? I do think it can be difficult for guys these days to know when it's safe to approach a woman he's interested in, they don't want to come across as too forward or creepy. If you're interested in him, maybe you could say hi and start a conversation and if he ignores you then you have your answer.
