PS: Don't ask him to stop. Don't tell him to stop. If he is a half decent person, he will stop due to him becoming aware of your dislike for the joke. Don't command him though. People don't like being commanded and it might cause him to continue or cause him to dislike you, which can lead to even more things.

It's what happens. Guy gets friend zone, he becomes her "Brother" or something to try make it sound more of a special friendship to out way the hurt of been friendzoned. That way later on he can say "I wouldn't date her she's like my sister."
