Why is a dude so insistent on us wearing his clothes for photos?

He claims I look amazing in it and I said thanks but I dont want to wear the sneakers because the size is too big but then he insists how about just for photos and not for long which tbh I find kinda weird.
Sometimes he phrases it like we are the ones who want to wear it and also be like you stole my shoes etc...
