Why does my boyfriend crop me out of some pictures we take together?

My boyfriend takes pictures of us together and then crops me out of them on his phone sometimes. When I ask him about it and express that it makes me upset he says "but I still have the original picture too". Do other guys do this as well? I'm not sure why he needs the same picture but with just him. It makes me feel insecure to be quite honest.

There could be numerous reasons. One he’s embarrassed of you. I don’t know if you’re overweight, balding, etc. Two he could be sending it to other women who don’t know he has a girlfriend. Three, he’s posting it on dating websites, social media where there’s a lot of women who see it. Maybe he’s done w you as far as the relationship.

It's a sign he use the picture to attract other girls. If you are there it raises questions. A big red flag in my opinion.
