My boyfriend thinks I "neglected" him. Have I?

My boyfriend recently accused me of neglecting him because he sent me a kiss video and asked me to send it back. I forgot to, got carried away and we started talking about something else. I didn't even see it coming, and then he accused me of "neglecting" him because I forgot to send him a kissing snap and told me to not act innocent about it. He then accused me of not showing affection and emotionally neglecting him. To be honest, I've never been a lovey dovey type of person, but he is definitely one. Sometimes he overdoes it, which is annoying, but I don't say anything so as to not hurt him. I don't know what to do Or say, because he's making it sound like this huge issue.

No. Simply forgetting something doesn't mean willful neglect. It also isn't something that someone should blow out of proportion. That is literally making a mountain out of a mole hill. Not worth it and he should know to pick his battles better. Now if he doesn't think that you are affectionate enough and you admit that you aren't that type that really isn't your fault or neglect. He should have known that about you by now. Some people just aren't all touchy feely. Surely he knew that earlier in the relationship. To get upset about you being you isn't neglect. It might be magnified in his view because he IS that type of person and wants it receiprocated. Neglect is something that you willfully do.

Well, when I gave up and stopped talking to him, he said that he just wanted to solve his "issue" and that sometimes I overlook his problems

That is ridiculous to expect someone to change who they are. He also should have known this going into the relationship or at least very early on. He knew what he signed up for. He needs to grow up. You are not in the wrong here.
