Broke up with my immature boyfriend?

So today I broke up with my boyfriend who was neglecting me, ignoring me, who'd always give me an attitude, he never really communicated with me and was just generally rude. He ignored me completely for like the past four days and I decided I was done so I broke up with him and he texted me saying "Don't text me anymore" then I said "Okay I won't, but why did you change so quickly? That's all I want to know" I thought he'd just answer the question and then leave it at that but he replies with "Cause just don't!" Which I thought was so immature. He always had an attitude like that with me, as if he was like 10 years old, and he's 20. I'm about to be 18 in like a week. I'm glad I broke up with him, obviously he didn't care to even tell me it was over since he ignored me so I did it myself cause I was fed up.

What do you think of his behavior? Like why does he act like that? In such an immature, rude way. I'm not that concerned since I'm embracing now just being single until I really want to give someone else a try.

I'm happy it's over, only reason why I really ask is cause he never answered my question, because he changed from being nice to being really rude very quick and I feel like I didn't get any closure cause he didn't say anything but of course it's not like I can do anything

This situation is emotionally draining. I personally DO NOT think he is cheating or moved on to another girl. I think he is simply to immature to have a healthy relationship. He does not know how to communicate and problem solve because his mental and emotion state has not matured enough. This is all he knows. He can not help it. The only chance is if someone teaches him how to behave. The texting thing tells me that he has anger issues which he also needs to deal with. Stay clear away from immature men with anger issues. They are extremely emotionall draining and if they don't get ongoing therapy it only gets worse.

Actually I was thinking that too, maybe he had someone else and just never bothered to break up until I did it, that's when he said to just not text him so for him to have someone else makes sense to me

Yeah it sucks but that is a plausible reason for the quick change.
