What does it mean when a guy tells you he's single?

I went to get my nails done and the male nail tech told me he was single. I didn't ask him about his relationship status. He just told me he was single and told me he had a condo. I know some people like to make general conversation. But I just thought it was kind of odd.

He also said he was married before but that he doesn't want to get married again that he likes being single.

It's a bit odd for that sort of unsolicited information. The obvious thought is he's hitting on you and letting you know he's available. On the other hand, he could be gay and just making conversation! LOL

No, he's not gay he said he had been married before. But that he doesn't want to again that he likes being single I don't get it.

Maybe he was just throwing out some bait to see if he gets any nibbles. Could be he was hinting that he doesn't want anything serious with someone, but "I do live alone". LOL Or it could be nothing like that and he was just rambling on about himself. My questions to you are - do you want to know one way or the other? Do you care? Are you interested in him?
