He dislikes me but?

His Whatsapp last seen was set to his contacts only but when he had not saved my number, he opened his last seen privacy from my contacts to everybody.

After we scheduled a date, he added me in his contacts and set his last seen from everybody to my contacts only. I know this because I have 2 phones and I checked it with the other number that he had opened and closed his last seen settings.

He ghosted me after 2 dates and we stopped meeting each other but he still kept my number saved. I recently sent him a text om Whatsapp and he didn't reply again but he still didn't delete my number.

So I don't get it. When he doesn't want to talk or meet up , and doesn't like me anymore, why hold on to my numbed? He can easily delete me from his contacts and I will know he deleted me and the story is over.

Quick background about him. He was looking for short term fling it seemed as he wanted a 1 week getaway to a cottage and I have seen him meeting girls at bars.
