How do I find out what this guys intentions are?

What are some ways of figuring out what this guys intentions are? I’ve hinted that my intentions are not casual hook ups and that I enjoy spending time with him and he says “I’m not that kind of guy I enjoy spending time with you as well”

We’ll occasionally talk about how good of a night we had together (after a night of having sex) and how much fun it was and we enjoyed each other‘s company. I said “hope that’s not the only thing you’re wanting from me” and he said absolutely not but sometimes I can’t tell what his intentions are

Do you guys do anything besides have sex? Does he take you out on dates? Has he introduced you to any of the important people in his life, or has he expressed an interest in meeting your friends/fam? Does he make plans in advance? Does he care about you, ask how your day went, how work is going, etc? A guy who just wants sex typically doesn't put in more effort than is necessary to get you to have sex with him. If he genuinely likes you and wants more than sex, you'll see it in the way he treats you. Trust your gut.

We’ve only known each other for about two weeks and have been talking every day since and hung out about two times now. When we went on a date, that was our first day at a brewery. He just started calling me babe and baby as of yesterday which was kind of new to me because I didn’t think we’d be at that point yet. I enjoy spending time with him and he says he does too but I am afraid to keep going only to find out his intentions are just sex

Has he taken you out since that first date? If not, then that's definitely a red flag in my experience. Also, the babe and baby thing really means nothing, so don't look into that too much.

we have plans to hang out this weekend. He’s a fire fighter and has a pretty demanding schedule and I work a lot too so we do our best to make things work I haven’t made concrete plans on what exactly we are doing but I know that we are planning to see each other on the weekend

Hmm, play it by ear. I'd be interested to see if he actually makes the effort to plan a date outside of the house.

It could be possible that he has good intentions, but having been in a situation very similar to yours, it did not turn out well for me. I don't want to take the excitement out of it for you, but I do think you should be cautious.
