for context, I went on a date recently with a guy off an app. It was a good time, he was really sweet and the conversation was good.
we’ve been texting back and forth since then but haven’t talked about a second date yet — I don’t feel too bad about that since it’s finals period for both of us rn. The day after the date, he mentioned to me that his friends want him to go to a party with him but he’s not sure if he’ll go. I told him to have fun bc, I mean, why not, it’s the weekend.
few hours later and he texts me saying that he’s drunk and asks me to please disregard anything he might say. his spelling and all look perfectly normal though. I think it’s just kinda funny and I tell him not to worry about it. And then…nothing. He doesn’t actually send anything. But a while later he texts again saying he’s glad he managed to avoid saying anything embarrassing to me.
out of curiosity, is this something that guys usually do? in your experience, what kind of things is a guy holding back from saying if he’s drunk texting like that?
