Why does my ex say how good he was to me?

We split up a while ago. But my ex keeps saying how good he was to me, how he did so much for me and keeps asking why I threw it away erc. I left him because we kept arguing and were not right for eachother. Why does he keep saying how much he did etc? And why does he ask why I threw it away?

Obviously he is not over you and wants you back. He must feel that he did more for you then you give him credit for and thinks that once you see that you will appreciate him more and want him back.

That's what he must think, I am not saying that is what happened or that his ideas or perception of the relationship are right or accurate. But obviously he thinks he did something and deserves more and wants you back and on some level he believes you will come around to acknowledging that.
