Everytime my boyfriend and I fight I end up getting blamed and then he said "Amy (his ex) would never act this way".

Last night I was super stressed out and upset over an exam I had the next morning. He offered to come over and i said no because I'm stressed and not feeling myself. He came anyway but when he got here he laid on my couch to play video games and ignored me. I told him I felt ignored and needed comforted and he flipped out saying he wasn't ignoring me. I said sometimes girls get emotional and if you're dating one and are in her apartment you kinda have to deal. He replied with "Amy never acted emotional"

this is is just one example. They broke up 2 years ago because she cheated but I feel constantly compared to her and he basically said she was the perfect gf. Is this right or should I be angry?

I've questioned if he's over her because she's the one who cheated and ended it. But he constantly compares me to her and makes me feel like a terrible girlfriend. He has even said she has prettier hair than me. And makes comments like "Amy never made me so mad that I've yelled but you do". When I'm around him he seems unhappy but always looked happy with her. Maybe I'm the cure for his loneliness since he can't have her?

That's a battle you won't win. He's outright saying that Amy set the bar for him and you don't measure up In all aspects. You can't be to upset cause your allowing this situation to continue. Your allowing yourself to be told that your not good enough. If anything, you should be upset with yourself for dealing with this guy
