My boyfriend always says “I run u you need to understand that and listen to me” and always laughs at the end is this a sign he might be abusive?

If you were to copy him and say "I run u, you need to understand that and listen to me", what would HIS reaction be? If he doesn't find it amusing that your mocking him, then I'd say he actually believes that "he runs you" and it's not a joke. Like when somebody insults a person then says "JUST KIDDING" to cover it up.
