Why does a male coworker say things or give me advice in a mumbling tone and then walk away quickly so I can't reply and have a convo with him?

Well, if you see someone doing something either wrong, or could be done differently as a coworker you would tell them right? I think that’s what happened. As to why he feels this way, who knows, but I agree, it’d be best to just go back to what you were doing beforehand and keep your interactions to only work related. Sorry that’s happening, it’s not very comfortable especially being on the clock with that guy.

He used to hit on me ages ago. I guess he was just playing around cause now he acts like im weird for being friendly trying to make small talk and then making weird non-work related comments and then qalking away quckly so i can't even respond. Yeah its making me feel awkwars.

I’ve actually gone through something similar and it turned out the guy had a girl in the picture, they weren’t official yet but he was trying to respect her I guess. Maybe that’s the case with him. But regardless it’s really weird when a dude goes from being all nice, chill and flirty to acting like you are strangers and making it awkward to be around them. In your case, at least now you know that for whatever reason, you can’t have the sort of friendship with him that you used to. So If I were you I’d be as cold as him, only talking if it’s about work and then ignoring him otherwise. It’s uncomfortable, I do get that, but if he’s going to behave that way then that’s his choice and you’re just respecting it.

Wow sorry to hear that! Yeah i was attached i guess and shouldn't be but yeah maybe this is actually a good way/time to move on totally. After all i was hanging on for 2 years now even if just a little. Thanks sis!!

It’s all good, because even though I felt annoyed how he switched up once he found a girl, I can’t say I wouldn’t block out all men once I had a boyfriend too. But anyway, I’m glad that you’re willing to move on. It can really suck, especially after hanging on for 2 years. But unfortunately the past is irrelevant to how he is acting in present time. Like sure maybe things were one way before, but none of it matters if he’s being a sick to you now. Also no worries girlie!
