Father Day is next month. Have you guys and girls been thinking of any plans for your dad's?

I know we are technically still in the month of May but we will almost be in June and you know that's usually be the time for dads so have you guys been thinking of plans or presents for y'all old men's and if you are actually a father yourself what plans you want to do with your family?

My dad is a very stubborn man he usually says he doesn't care for this day but my mom, two sisters and I doesn't let that fly we always buy him secret gifts and do usually fun stuff for him trust me my dad definitely do enjoy the present even if he likes to pretend he doesn't but what about you ladies and gentlemen have any special plans for your old man if you are an actual dad have been thinking of plans to do for fathers day?

Ah! No! What? Why are there so many gift giving holidays? I forgot about Father's day... I hate giving gifts. I don't have a job, so no reliable income. And I feel so much pressure to get a good gift, so I feel fucking awful if I think they were disappointed in any way. Not to mention that my dad doesn't really want anything, so he's super hard to shop for... I'd honestly be happy with an arrangement where there's no pressure on me to give gifts to family and friends on holidays, and in payment, there's no pressure on them to gift me anything either. But I can't make that arrangement with most people, they'd just be hurt.

I take it Christmas and Birthdays are definitely out of the question when it comes to you too right? Because usually a lot of people also give presents on those days too. I also be wondering why there so many presents giving days

Yep. Or they would be if I was able to successfully make that arrangement, but as it is now, I still do give and receive birthday and Christmas presents, I just get a lot of anxiety from doing it. I'm even okay with giving and receiving impulsive gifts. I just don't like all of the holidays where gifts are practically an obligation.

My father abandoned me when I was only 4 years old. So, Father's Day is hard for me to get through. I know there are a lot of people that don't have a father, so it's probably a sad day for most of us.
I always wished that Hallmark had cards that said something like "If you were my father still, I would wish you a fantastic Father's Day. But since you aren't here to celebrate together, you will be by yourself and at least be thinking of me".
Or something like that.

I'd love to go home for Father's Day, but won't be able to.
I already gave him a phone in February for his birthday. For Father's Day I'll send him some Sharries Berries and pay for 2 tickets for him and my mother to see the new Jurassic World.
If I was home I'd take him out to date night and watch the movie together with him instead 💔

I was hoping to take my dad out for breakfast somewhere with my sister, but it’s kind of complicated as if we plan it for just us three then his partner will probably be mad and offended, but I feel like we can’t really invite my 2 year old brother because he just screams and cries in cafes and it would be a bad experience. So she would probably be the one to stay home and look after him. But it’s rude not to invite them. So I don't know what to do.

My dad's side celebrates both parents on our mother's day so we already celebrated it with a BBQ when I visited. My sister lives 30 min from him so she always spends the night with him on father's day
