The issue is not him being into those kind of movies (nothing wrong with that). The issue is him not respecting your boundaries and "forcing" you to watch something, knowing it makes you uncomfortable.

He is not a psychopath, but he should respect you and your wishes. If he knows you hate movies like that, he shouldn't force you to watch them.
