Guys, would you accept your wife/girlfriend having a friend who thinks she is his everything?

So this male friend of hers is aware she has a partner (you) and that she only views him as a friend now... she helps him out with some stuff.. maybe she also pities him.. she thinks something is probably wrong with this guy, because he's strange, a bit of an undiagnosed semi-retard... but she cares about him.

He even calls her ""his love" and shit sometimes and has told her ""you are my everything, my mother, my lover, my friend,""... she has no idea if he is joking... but she ignores it.

No I wouldn't accept the situation and ask her not only to ignore but to completely block him because chances are that she develops some feelings for him and then it becomes an affair. If she can't I confront that guy and make him clear that I'm not going to share my girlfriend/ wife with him and that he has to solve the problem he has for himself.
