Why does he text me good morning every day?

there is a guy I met online where we agreed to be friends. We have been talking for a little over a week but haven't met up yet due to our busy schedules. The weird thing about him is he texts me "good morning!" every single day. He texts me the moment he gets off of work up until the time he goes to sleep. I have already told him to stop texting me every single day. I'm soo tired of it. He disappeared for two days then he began texting me daily AGAIN! Now I just had a very serious discussion with him about what his intentions are. I asked if he was interested in a relationship. He said no he wasn't. He has a handful of friends to text, but he only targets texting me daily. According to our conversations, it seems he finds women of my race to be attractive. could that be why he can't stop texting me? Every single time he texts me and then I respond back to him, he says "good, don't be a stranger". As if he's afraid to lose me.

Stop responding and he should stop messaging. Or you could just block him.

Dude's a stage 5 clinger. Disconnect yesterday. He's coming across as very needy. You've already told him to knock it off and he hasn't, so it's clear he doesn't respect boundaries. Eject now while you can still make a clean escape.

Insecurity? Actually attracted to you despite saying otherwise (seems very likely)? Who knows? But obsessiveness is definitely not a positive trait. The more it's fed, the more it turns controlling because any attention given elsewhere becomes a threat.

Well if I had a friend that I almost only ever messaged online, I would message them every day. But if they told me to stop it would hurt my feelings but I’d still try to keep messaging them when I can
