Do guys prefer petite and slimmer girl rather than fat/chubby girl?

I do, but I have friends who are the opposite, so it really depends on the guy. One of my friends loves big butts, and it makes no difference to him if her face is pretty or if her body is slim or fat - if her butt is big, he finds her physically attractive.

Another friend is into tall and muscular women - "Amazons" - and so if she is 6' and athletic, he's all over her.

Yet another friend loves big boobs, and real, fake, firm, or saggy doesn't matter to him.

Those are the exceptions out of my guy friends - the others mostly just want a girl who isn't overweight and who is somewhat pretty - the other details aren't super important, though nice body parts are seen as a bonus, whether it's a pretty face, a shapely body, nice boobs, or a nice butt. The majority of guys are happy with a pretty wide range of details, with weight being the most common deal breaker.

If it really came down to looks alone. Like I was choosing between two women that were both great people, had good personalities, smart, funny, loyal, etc. but one was on the larger side of chubby or even fat and the other was thin. Personally I’d choose the chubby/fat one over the thin one.
But realistically the most important thing is non looks based aspects. Looks will fade. Breasts will sag, stretch marks will come, hair will gray, etc. it’s inevitable. Time comes for as all. Yet stops for non of us. Who some one is is usually the longer lasting attribute.

Depends on the guy I guess, but mostly I think they prefer petite, slim girls.

so long as she is healthy and comfortable with how she looks from all angles in a full body mirror I enjoy a verity of female body types.

Depends on the guy. Being obese is generally considered unattractive though.
