Do you like your home to be clean but you live with a slob?

We just recently began living together. I knew he was a messy person, but he can't even put his empty soda cans or empty water bottles in the trash can which is 2 feet away. He leaves the lights on when he leaves the room, forgets to lock the door at night, leaves the cupboards open in the kitchen every time he opens them. He is very nice to me and treats me well and I have to add that I treat him very well. But I am exhausted having to keep up with him. Any suggestions to get him to stop doing these unnecessary things when he could do them himself?

He sounds like a pig. It will not get better until you say something. Just tell him your expectations and do not clean up after the slob. If he does not change dump his ass.. you can do better.

Withhold sex until his behavior improves. Maybe have a reward schedule so he will know what to expect if he cleans up after himself.

You either live with or make a safe, fast move to move on. Curious how well you know him.

I dated someone 1 1/2 who wanted to move in with me. I knew he wasn't who I wanted as a long term committed partner... I didn't let him move in with me.

You will have to communicate so that he understands and also don’t nag. Correct behavior and praise him when he does good

@Changiis07 I do communicate with him about, but he never closes the cupboards, turns lights off, puts trash everywhere, if he did it on his own, yes, I would praise him. He doesn't ever give me the chance. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I guess you made a poor decision moving in with him. He won't change, enjoy.
