Why won’t he say goodnight?

He forgets every time. Then I ask why he doesn’t say it, and he says why should he say it and not me first?

I just don’t understand what is the objection to saying goodnight first on text?

Cause for two years he never answered calls or anything. So this for me means a lot if he could put in some effort.

Oh then that’s understandable. If he’s been avoiding putting in effort for two years and he’s not listening to you, then I can see why you’d be upset that he can’t even do something simple

He’s putting in more effort now.. but when he complains about something so easy it just reminds me of the selfish side of him. Yes he’s really trying now. But for two years he didn’t. So now my radar is up and I’m much more sensitive than I usually would be

Yeah I know. But it just means a lot if he would say it. I don’t want to chase, I know I could say it. But I always text first. I think this just gave me some reassurance.
