Does he like me in a romantic or platonic way?

This is about my friend I’ve known since we were in primary. Long story short I don’t have the best parents they’re very strict and aren’t supportive and I have no freedom etc.

So I was at work and my mum called me and made me cry because of what she said to me, bare in mind my parents have affected my mental health and confidence for years.

I was on the phone infront of him and my other friends. And when I hang up I bursted into tears infront of all of them and I hate crying infront of people but I couldn’t hold it in.

My friend , he then followed me and after afew seconds , he lifted my chin up and said “don’t cry baby cakes , it’s okay ” and grabbed my hand.
He also hugged me. He’s also 6’3 and I’m 4’11😭 if this helps. He asked me what I wanted that would cheer me up and bought it for me he’s never bought me food before too.

He’s never called me another name except from my nickname Jojo , so I was shocked a little. But we have been a little , well he has been a bit touchy and more affectionate than usual.
He’s tried to cheer me up this week when he realised something was wrong /when he sees I’m upset or give me hugs a lot and from time lifts up my chin.

He also does look at me a lot; he had made it clear he finds me attractive and would have sex with me I told him the same but I think he’s developing feelings. He did also say to me he doesn’t like seeing me upset that it makes him genuinely feel upset and how If it was someone else he wouldn’t really care. But then again I’m not sure he could care about me but just not in a romantic way but I can’t tell.
