A guy I worked with changed stores, we became friends but now he is ghosting me and everyone he used to work with, was he pretending to be my friend?

We went out for 3 coffee dates, seemed very genuine, even made me feel good about myself, then they just suddenly stopped, he was in contact with other colleagues but never really caught up with them coffee etc. he bought me a gift, and always paid for my coffee, we talked on Facebook, but now he’s deleted all social media platforms, ignoring my texts (only sent maybe 3 in the last month) I visited his store twice since he’s left my store 4 months ago, he initiated the coffees as well, I only took it as mates, he was single but now he’s gone off the radar and not talking to people, it’s not just me
