I actually have never had this happen before. I have had women hand out their numbers and never respond. But I know it wasn’t fake. If it was the wrong number person would of probably responded or I would of gotten a “this can’t be delivered” message.

Women do shitty things out of paranoia. But they also unfortunately have very strong intuition.

Let’s say they find you borderline attractive. Also let’s say you could be trying to playing it cool but you feel nervous/tense when asking for their digits. They can pick up on that (which some equate with creepyness). That’s when they make decision to “protect themselves”. They assume you are a potential psycho and auto switch to self protection mood.

The funny thing is that true psychopaths don’t get nervous when they are baiting their pray. Take Ted Bundy for example. He was very charming and lots of women voluntarily took his bait to a very horrifying and tragic demise. But when you are nervous it ass backwardly validates their fear of you. Logically it makes no sense. It actually shows the guy is (overly) considerate about how she feels. He’s actually less of a threat than a confident guy. But her brain is hard wired to think that way. Unless she already finds you hot chances are she will bail.

So my advice is 1) talk to women you are not as attracted to help get used to talking to women. 2). Try talking to attractive woman with NO agenda. Just for the hell of it.

Both of the above will make you more comfortable around them. Then when you do chat up an attractive woman you will feel less nervous about rejection. When you do ask for her number it will feel as casual as ordering coffee. In those scenarios she most likely hand it out and respond

I dunno, I've never been given a fake number.
How would anyone even do that? Don't you text the number when they give you it so its easier to add it to your contacts and also so you don't have to say or write your own number in public? If it was fake, their phone wouldn't beep/get the text.
