Guys, If you ever made a woman confess her feelings for you, why would do it?

Let's say you're curious to know if a certain woman likes you, why would you want to gain that information from her?

Why would I want to know? Well, because it's an extremely significant thing to know! It changes everything! If I know she likes me, then that means I can actually start taking her seriously and start taking my relationship with her seriously. It's no longer just a "maybe" thing. She's no longer on the level of "Hmm. Should I talk to that random chick today? ... Nahh. F*ck it."
If she likes me, and she wants me, then I can give her a promotion; now she actually has an official place in my life.
(I could even give her her own ringtone. Lol)

I had a guy force me (for three months) to confess to him. He also said things like" aww you're so nervous around me... you can't even hold eye contact with me... I'll come closer to you... and make you more nervous". He then said " I know what you feel, but I want the confirmation from you" When I told him what I felt, he told me that he wasn't ready for something serious.. why would he do that :( ?

I think he likes to be the dominant one. He might wanted to feed his own ego by hearing thing that he’d want to hear from you or another option is he finds you attractive but only wants to hangout and flirt. Anyways kinda sounds egoistic i’d suggest not to hang out with him☹️🍓

When he first met me, he was so shy and nervous around me, he’d steal glances and look away, he’d get closer every chance he got and would find excuses to talk to me about anything. He’d find me wherever I’d go and always offer to lend a hand if I needed help, and he was always such a kind gentleman. He’d always look at me and try to talk to me. He started flirting and I asked about a relationship after a while, he said he wasn't ready. And then six months later he did this. :(

Yeah I think it was purely physical attraction from his side and he wants to flirt but nothing more … I blocked him

I just know a lot of people tend to use jealousy as a way to get people to admit their feelings

A lot a things, do I like her, are we compatible, how do I suspect she likes me, why would I want to make it common knowledge, etc...

Sometimes the purpose is to get her to move on and stop wasting her time on something that won't work.

Sometimes the purpose is the reverse, it's to reciprocate the feelings "Congratulations, you convinced me to like you too" and test the waters to see if we are compatible, what would be the rules of engagement, etc...

Depends, you don't always know for sure what your goal should be, sometimes you need to test the waters.
Also, it depends if he doesn't feel the same way, there's a difference between feeling and knowing things aren't a good idea.

Can I tell you a little secret?

You gave him that control, willingly, for a long time, and I guess you liked it somehow. (as well as hated it)

Now here's another secret, not everything you want or like is good, the trick is liking what's good and hating what's bad, and being able to tolerate well being away from good and in a bad place.
It's called virtue ethics.

Hmmm that’s good advice. How does one do that. I feel like I have a lot of healing to do as I willingly gave him so much control, and yeah I did both like and hate it

Well, that's a lesson. Learn to hate it and hate it.
And learn what to love instead.

It's a good thing to dedicate yourself to someone, you got that part right. Now you just need to learn to love who loves you for the good which is in you.
The hard lesson there is figuring out the good in you from the bad, the "loving who loves you" is the easy part.
