Guys, if your female friend confess her love to you, would you accept?

Let say you guys have been friend for a year or two, you see her as best friend. You guys are super close, then out of nowhere she confess her love to you, what would you do and why

The problem as I see is that I will have stopped sexually objectifying her by two years. I am of the opinion objectification is the precursor of lust and lust is the precursor of love.

So the two years has kicked the wheels out of the normal path of male love. I possibly have put her in the same bucket as my sister.

But I would take the declaration seriously. I would assure her of my affection but suggest we take it slow . After all I shut down thinking of her tits a while back. i need to reawaken my speculations on how firm they are.

It depends largely on the circumstances between us.
I used to have these three best friends in college. Two of them were going steady as lovers. One day, after about a year, she comes to me and confesses that she's actually not in love with him but the other best friend and asks me what she should do about it. I gave her my advice, she went through with it and when she told him she was in love with him and not the other guy, he signed himself in to the nearest psych ward for a few weeks just to have time to think and sort things out. When he got out, everything was okay, he took her on and they stayed together at least another 2 years. Eventually, THEY split up and he moved westward and married a Jewish girl. She still lives in this area, from what I know and, as far as I know, is still single.

Hmm... I have 1 female friend that's getting married in a month, so absolutely not with her. And my only other female friend that I see less than once a year recently tends to be the type to sleep around so definitely not. I wouldn't be opposed to accepting a female friend as a partner, but it depends on our relationship and other factors.

I personally think I’d accept but only if I’m attracted too.
Otherwise, I’d be an hypocrite to accept without sincerity, it would be better to refuse.
Friendship or, at least, a decent relationship, should be based on openness and trust, so it’s better to say the reality if I’m not attracted and to embrace it if I’m attracted to the one confessing.

This did happen to me. A girl who was sort of my best friend one night told me that she loved me. There were plenty of reasons that I should have gone for it. We had so much fun together and we could tell each other anything. We really had a lot in common and she was nice looking.
However I already had a girlfriend.

True about the rejection part, but some say the girl act of confessing itself already ruin the friendship if the boy didn't like her back.
On what reason would you accept your bestfriend confession even when you already see her as a friend only in the beginning

So much depends. Senior year of HS I, as the might led Zeppelin put it, "whispered in her ear and lost another friend" in Good Times, Bad Times. We were friends since forever, grew up together and we FUCKED IT ALL UP and it was never the same. I was SO jaded after that i swore to never do it again. 30 years later i STILL get pissed at us for ruining it all.
