Guys: if your best girl friend confessed her love to you, what would your reaction be?

Hello friends ! :D I've been in love with this boy for a while now and he is one of my best friends and I am his best friend. :) Webhave developed a very strong trust and we always help each other and are very great friends. I always find his jokes funny and I understand him. Although I've been sad lately I tell him I'm really happy not to worry him because he worries and cares greatly for his friends. :) ... I guess I'm really confused because lately, I've been thinking about him so very much and I love him to a point that it physically hurts to breathe? u_u Everyone that I've asked has told me to confess but I'm scared he'll never wish to speak to me ever again :'( He thinks I'm an amazing person and he's told me this many times, but I don't think he likes me :(
... What should i do? o:
Guys: if your best girl friend whom you thought was cute and amazing confessed her love/crush, would you stop talking to her for good or feel super awkward? How would you react? Thank you! :)

well I've already been in that situation but we never really hid the fact that we were horny for each other so its not really much of a stretch for her to say she loves me. even though it did take me a while to say it back. i mean dude probably best to put the physical attraction on the table and see if it pans out before saying the L word. my rule is only after sex do i say it, even if i mean it before then

I'd try to continue being friends and not let it get awkward but, some guys your age don't know how to react with someone they rejected and eventually the friendship dies out.
I think you should tell him anyway it's better than asking yourself constantly: what if...

Best case scenario is give it a couple of years until you're at least 18 and more physically and mentally mature, keep in mind by that point you will most likely move on and find someone else.

Yeah, those incertainties scare us a lot. But think that it's better trying now than regretting later for not having done what you could. Just talk to him normally in a kind way that will make him understand you. I wish you good luck if you decide to try.

I couldn't, a confession of that magnitude means that things just cannot go back to how they used to be. You cannot be friends with someone whom you have deeper feelings for and I can't be a friend to someone who has deeper feelings for me but I do not have those same feelings.

If he's a great guy, no matter what he says he is still going to be your friend or boyfriend if things work out. If I was the guy and I didn't have feeling I would still give it a try to see if feelings develop.
