So if left a guy on read for 3 days after he apologized to me. 3 days later he texts me asking how I am? Why would he reach back out even though I left him on read 3 days ago and didn’t reach out to him?

Because guys are pussy simps, they ask one girl for her number and all the sudden she's the only girl they are talking to. I don't know the situation but why wouldn't you respond to his apology? he probably doesn't want to lose talking to you so after some time he tried to start a new leaf in the conversation and leave the rest behind. That's my best guess.

First off, both guys and girls double text- this isn't a gender specific behavior.
The reason he is still trying to contact you is that he's interested in you, and doesn't want to give up until he's sure it's not gonna happen/ over.
