Yes and no, well it's simple does they anticipate to be reciprocated in the same manner and be treated exclusively then I am going to be irritated sorry.
But if they recognize boundaries and are nice and mindful enough I will want to appreciate it, please understand that affection alone doesn't build relationships and stay respectful first.
A shared interest is good bases for friendship, and I wouldn't want to lose that.

Sure! Having close friends is my favorite thing, compliments and questions are expected in my type of friendship, generally guys appreciate more sharing activities than discussing emotions but your experience might vary.
But it's necessary to deal with enough level of maturity, I would suggest to avoid relationship topics if you don't feel strictly platonic and not confident for how both will handle it.
Don't assume exclusivity, friends are special and for some compliments are common, if you find yourself uncomfortable with it be clear with your own boundaries and distant yourself from visual or appearance comments.
Frankly being a good friend doesn't inherently exclude partnership relations when both are available, but it's distinct.
If they are going to be patient with you learning the balance, and you both are compatible you are infront of a precious friendship to cherish.

Depends on what you mean by not interested, if
A. I dislike them and dont want to know them as a friend then it might be annoying
B. I see them as someone I might want to date in the future, then its great
C. I want to be friends, then its also great
Vice versa, I ask you the same question. Do you have the same answer if the roles are reversed?
