Confident men often take the lead in relationships women feel safe in this sense and protected, which can make it much more easy and more exciting and fun for the woman. Also many arrogant men take good care of themselves and seems to be self lovers, working out at the gym or looking after there body Lot's of arrogant people are good-looking and with good bodies and will bring them attention. It' is not women being dumb or naive when they are attracted to "arrogant men", although when it comes to a long term relationship over a short term or a fling, most women will possibly try to find someone more leveled with there needs and what they really want.

Because they think it will provide them with greater success in life, not just with women. They are competing for power and success.
To conceal or compensate for their insecurities.
They are copying "successful" media roll models.

1. They can be really egoistic and think that they're superior
2. They are socially awkward, so having an arrogant attitude helps them pretend that they're not freaking out from the inside
3. They are just avoiding you or maybe don't like you for any reason. So they behave arrogantly to stay away from you.
