How often do guys want the girl they like to text them?

Both this guy and I, we like each other, but we aren't official yet. We text daily, but I'm not sure whether he likes it if I text him everyday cause sometimes he might be busy with work etc...

At least daily, but not wasting the whole day chatting when we both have stuff to do. Having some time to chat directly is also nice, like before boing to sleep and then greeting with good morning or stuff like that.
