What to do when a guy stops putting in effort to talk to you?

We're not dating but I feel like it's different. He doesn't talk to me anymore the way he used to. Sure, he's always the one initiating but he stopped asking questions about me. He just tells me random things. It feels almost as if it has become friendly.

He always initiates and has swapped from asking you questions to sharing things.

I do not want to assume but, how much are you doing to carry you end? Him sharing is also an invitation for you to share in turn.

I feel like i return exactly what I receive. Recently he's been annoying me with his delayed responses. He'll take hours to reply and although I understand that he might be busy.. he wasn't like this at the beginning. He also hasn't told me I'm pretty or anything. Most guys that like me make it obvious by telling me. Ehhhh, I guess I'm answering my own question here... he doesn't like me that way.

I do this when I put in effort on starting the conversation and see it not paying off. I wouldn't even bother messaging the person if that's the case.

I have been in this exact situation, I just cut him out and thought I’f he returns it’s a good sign. Give him a chance to miss you, things can get so boring if they are routine.
