When a guy says he isn’t interested in talking with you after you asked him to talk again?

I asked him for a space at first because I wanted to sort out my emotions and I told l will reach out when I’m feeling better. I did ask for space because he bailed on our second date last minute saying he can’t do this.

OK you canceled on him and now he's not interested anymore. What can possibly be confusing about this. He wasn't even ambiguous. He flat out told you he's not interested in talking with you again. Time to move on. I think if he was playing a game he would have been ambiguous about wanting to talk to you. And he wasn't. Maybe you chased him away by cancelling or maybe this was going to happen anyhow. I don't think that's really relevant at this point.
