Should I stop chatting him if he never chats first?

I recently started chatting with this guy, and I have only chatted him a few times (5), and they were just me giving a guide to him just cuz, I asked about his hobby, I asked him about school since we're in the same grade, and I told him great luck on something. He responds to me, but he never chats me first. I don't know why but I get the feeling that I'm annoying him? Should I just stop chatting him? I like him, but to be honest, it's totally fine if he doesn't like me, I just wanted to get to know him more, but yes.

Perhaps you should hold off until he misses you a bit. Try it for four days and see if he reaches out... Thursday to Saturday resist and see what happens?
