Should I tell a guy that my love language is 'receiving gifts' or would he find it a turn-off or materialistic in some ways?

He asked me what's my love language. I did the love language quiz and got 'receiving gifts' but I'm worried of telling him cause he then might think I'm materialistic or find it a turn off in some ways.

As far as i understood the love languages are only about
"how you show your love",

not "how you want others to show their love to you."

Nope, I don't think it will come across as materialistic. As long as you pay him the favour as well by giving him gifts too

Yes. Communication is important. Hiding who you are is always the wrong move. Even if it doesn't seem like it in the short term.

You wouldn’t want him to assume you want. Really what that means is you want to be adored. Maturity level required. They usually do not have to be expensive. He should know this WITHOUT you telling him.🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
