I don’t treat him like he deserves and I regret it?

Hi y’all, I (20F) feel like a terrible girlfriend. My potential boyfriend (27M) and I spent everyday together this week and then ended it with a 2 day long vacation together. During that vacation, he was in pain and sore from partying 12-6am the day before. His feet were swollen on the bottoms, his back hurt, and his mouth hurt from the substances he tried. I am against drug use and not a partier at all, so didn’t feel any empathy. Our vacation included hiking a mile down a mountain to the caves/ocean coves and then back up. He complained of his pain a lot but was still super kind; and I just stayed motivated saying “you got this!” Etc.
At the end of the day, I wanted to give him a full body massage at our hotel, but I was so tired that I showered and then we went straight to sleep. He drove us back home after the entire way.

In hindsight, I feel terrible for not being more caring and mothering. I wish I had felt more concern for him but I don’t know why there was none. Is this normal? I know women are supposed to take care of their man and I lacked in that department - even though he followed through with all our plans and stayed fairly positive. I want to be better for him. What are y’all’s thoughts? Men, what would you think of your woman if she was this inconsiderate?
