Is dave chapelle a fraud?

Just saw a video of a stand up of him saying he hid the fact he wasn't from the hood and was merely a poorish black person but wealthy enough to live in a white area... That means all his sketches making fun of hood life and people were basically him making fun of hood people... That changes my perspective when i watch his sketches. I guess it was clever to hide that fact because had i known that years ago i probably wouldn't really like those sketches or find that that funny.
