Why is a guy angry after he rejected me?

He had a reason to reject me, so I'm not sure if he actually mutually likes me back. Though he sure acted like it -- because he either becomes so nervous he is a deer in headlights or warms up and he talks to me and laughs a lot.

Just slightly annoyed off because I heard he got all angry and emotional behind my back even though he rejected me.
