I think some girls lie about having a boyfriend to make their ex-boyfriend jealous and to just play the field of men and see what's out there for them. Some girls also do that because they are just plain mean and evil. Girls can also be players when it comes to the dating game. Also, girls might lie about having a boyfriend to create some drama or excitement in their lives because they feel that their romance life isn't exciting anymore. if your her ex boyfriend I would say to make you jealous if you have / had a crush on her and she told you this it sounds like she is letting you dowwn withoought doing it directlly
