If I’ve never been in a relationship and I tell guys that on a date. Would they think nobody wants me?

They will ask about how my last relationship went and well I’ve never been in one… and I tell them that. But I worry about telling them that.

If someone told me that, I would ask "why do you think that is?" Their answer would define my reaction. Not being in a relationship is possible, but why it has happened is what matters.

The why is. I had anxiety issues my teenage years never dated never was interested I was also pretty unfortunate looking in my early teen years so I had “ugly duckling syndrome” thought guys didn’t actually like me. Hit my 20’s, enjoyed being single and finding confidence in myself and realised a lot of guys just wanted hook ups. So focused on myself for a bit. That now brings me to where I’m at now. But I don’t explain it as often they don’t really ask for one.

What is the reaction you are hoping for when explaining that you haven't been in a relationship before? What situation you are trying to avoid by telling them this? It is a part of you and your history, and it's normal to be nervous about it, but it's still quite a heavy thing to mention upfront. Do you think it would go smoother if you kept it to yourself until asked why you are nervous, etc?

Just be honest with them. If they can't handle the truth then they don't deserve you

I have this feeling they feel pressured as if because I’ve never been in one they have to be gentle with me or something or some of them think there must be something wrong with me.

Really? I’ve found they tend to think there must be something wrong with me or that I’m lying but it’s not the case I just had anxiety most of my teenage years and didn’t date and dating in your early 20s, well there’s a lot of time wasters
