What’s it mean when a guy tells a girl that a girl he dated would make a good wife?

Oh no he’s not and neither am I. He said he told another girl this about me. But he told me even before that that I was wife material.

Just me, you know…. I would never dream of doing that. Selfishly, it woukd be like torturing myself UNLESS I wanted a safe option to fall back upon. If my searching for better falls through. BUT…that would mean I had to be straight up lying and kind of numb 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh I see what you mean. Well when I first started talking to him he didn’t want my get married. When we ended things he said he changed his mind on marriage and I was the reason why. Not sure if I kind of made him see the errors of his ways or he realized he could see marrying me I never really did find out.

So how exactly is that high maintenance? I take it as a compliment. I’d never had someone say that to me.

But I was asking the question to find out if by him telling another girl this that it means he has more feelings for me than her. If I were in love with someone I don’t think I’d tell someone else how good another person is. He said when he told her, she got jealous and asked why he wasn’t with me then if he felt that ways

People are so complicated. When I feel like they won’t do what they want.. and what they know they want and their heart/conscious won’t stop but don’t. I have done what you are doing. We were engaged and snap crazy. I thought if I waited 2 years eventually she’ll come back. Never happened 🤷🏻‍♂️

Awww I hope we end up back together at some point, I love this man so much. He’s just not trying to be in a committed relationship right now. But I feel like the place we’re in right now should’ve happened 2 years ago when we first started talking. We didn’t get to know each other as much as we do now before dating.

I guess you could argue that someone might say something like that without also loving the person, but if he doesn't love you already, it's certainly something he could see happening in the future.

I just have to say this and I don’t know if this confirms it even more but this man has an insane amount of patience with me, like I’ve aggravated him so many times but he still gives me chance after chance. I honestly do feel a love from him that I’ve not gotten from anyone else before and I’ve told him that.
