Half the reason is because we see other Guys who are like that be more popular with Women so some Guys might try to be a bit more egotistical to be more Attractive and it's usually seen as Attractive to a lot of Women.

It's only because when most of us Guys try to be nice and Polite we are usually ignored by Women.

Because we get ego boosts from focusing on a task and completing it. Repeat that like 40 times a day and some will feel really good about their value.
